FWS Celebrates a Major Safety Milestone
FWS went the entire 2009 calendar year without a lost time accident. This milestone is even more noteworthy because our work volumes and man-hours during the year set record highs. We are very proud of our Safety Program and commitment, and now our safety record speaks for itself.
FWS Group of Companies is committed to providing:- a safe working environment for every employee, and;
- environmental protection for our communities.
Toward that end, FWS has developed a comprehensive Health & Safety Program integral to its daily operation while preserving quality control and managing job efficiencies. FWS promotes the mandate of incident prevention by the elimination of hazards through regular jobsite inspections, full compliance with safety standards for each and every job, training and education, and detailed incident investigations. Our Corporate Manager of Health & Safety, with the support of the FWS Health & Safety Leadership Committee, maintains our Health & Safety Program by listening to employees’ concerns and suggestions, and working with FWS’ team of professionals who monitor and set forth adjustments to our policy (please click here to see the pdf of our Health & Safety Policy.) We are proud of our people and their continued commitment to health and safety, which is further evidenced by FWS earning the prestigious “Certificate of Recognition” in the Western Provinces including: Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
