Project Overview

FWS Group developed the Cement Distribution Terminal to enhance the handling, storage, and distribution of cement. This project aimed at creating a highly efficient infrastructure capable of managing large volumes of cement with streamlined processes and advanced automation.

The scope of work for the Cement Distribution Terminal included the following key features:

  • Slipform Concrete Storage Structure: A 5,650-ton capacity slipform concrete storage structure was built, featuring three divisions, 28-foot silos, and one interstice bin. This robust storage system ensures the secure and organized containment of cement, optimizing space and accessibility.
  • Rail Receiving System: The terminal is equipped with a rail receiving system capable of handling 200 metric tonnes per hour (MTPH). This system facilitates efficient unloading and processing of cement delivered by rail, improving overall throughput.
  • Truck Unload System: The facility includes a truck unload system with a capacity of 350 MTPH. This system allows for the rapid and efficient unloading of cement from trucks, ensuring minimal downtime and fast processing.
  • Silo Aeration System: An aeration system was installed to maintain the quality and flowability of the cement within the silos. This system prevents clumping and ensures smooth discharge of cement from the storage bins.
  • Automated Control System: The terminal features an automated control system that integrates all operational processes. This system enhances operational efficiency by allowing for precise monitoring and control of the cement handling and distribution processes.
  • Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Installations: The project encompassed complete civil, mechanical, and electrical installations, ensuring that all aspects of the terminal’s infrastructure were fully integrated and operational.

The Cement Distribution Terminal has significantly improved the efficiency of cement handling and distribution, providing a state-of-the-art solution for managing large volumes of cement. The project highlights FWS Group’s expertise in creating comprehensive and advanced facilities that meet the demands of modern industrial operations.
