Construction Safety Officer

Whether our clients are looking at greenfield construction or retrofitting an existing facility, we have the in-house expertise to take their project from vision to reality.

To add to this expertise, we are recruiting for a Construction Safety Officer (CSO), to join our collaborative and team focused organization in Tennessee and surrounding areas.

As our CSO, you will ensure a safe worksite by providing leadership and administration of health and safety requirements.

Position Overview:

• Support leadership in the planning, implementation and coordination of health, safety and environmental programs related to assigned job site.
• Continuously monitor and ensure conformity to all health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with client safety representatives and regulatory officers.
• Knowledge and adherence to FWS health, safety and environmental program.
• Verify workers are trained to complete their tasks and maintain certification records.
• Perform daily site visits and observational tours.
• Perform weekly safety inspection, recording all violations and noting what remediation is required.
• Ensure effective follow-up is performed to correct unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with contractor supervisors and their safety personnel to coordinate safety program.
• Investigate and follow-up on incidents, obtain witness statements, verify information, prepare investigation and injury reports.

Qualifications Needed:

• OSHA 30 training certificate.
• First Aid training, CPR and AED training.
• Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle and the ability to travel long distance.
• 3 years experience in construction safety.
