Cooker Addition

Lethbridge, AB
overview

Project Overview

Richardson International Limited partnered with FWS to design and construct a new facility to house a replacement 24-metric-ton cooker, requiring seamless integration of owner-supplied equipment, precise foundation design, and coordinated procurement to maintain schedule and performance. FWS self-performed key scopes including shop fabrication and hydro testing of process piping, as well as installation of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, demonstrating full design-build capability. Despite a two-month delay in equipment delivery, FWS mitigated impacts through advanced execution planning, optimized workforce allocation, and accelerated work schedules, completing critical components ahead of revised timelines. The project successfully enhanced processing capabilities, maintained operational continuity, and reinforced FWS’ ability to deliver complex projects efficiently while adapting to supply chain challenges.
