Project Overview
This grain project for Cargill Ltd. in Carseland, Alberta was delivered in two phases to expand storage and handling capacity. Phase One involved the construction of a main concrete house over a 14-month period, providing 10,000 metric tonnes of wheat storage, a receiving system, dual rail receiving and single truck receiving at 250 metric tonnes per hour, a wholesale shipping system, and transit wholesale distribution shipping via an overhead tower operating at 80 metric tonnes per hour with shipping rates up to 350 metric tonnes per hour. Phase Two, completed over four months, added two steel bins measuring 60 feet in diameter and 85 feet in height, further enhancing storage capacity and operational flexibility.
