Cement Distribution Terminal

Spokane, Washington
overview

Project Overview

FWS developed a Cement Distribution Terminal for Lafarge North America, designed to enhance high-volume cement handling, storage, and distribution through efficient, automated systems. The facility includes a 5,650-tonne slipform concrete storage structure with three divisions and interstice bin, a 200 MTPH rail receiving system, and a 350 MTPH truck unload system, all supported by a silo aeration system to maintain product quality and flowability. Integrated civil, mechanical, and electrical works, along with an automated control system, enable streamlined operations, improved reliability, and reduced manual intervention. The result is a scalable, high-performance terminal that increases throughput, maintains consistent product quality, and supports efficient cement distribution.
