overview

Project Overview

FWS designed and built the Fraser Grain Terminal (FGT) in Surrey, British Columbia, a state-of-the-art facility jointly owned by Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited and GrainsConnect Canada Operations Inc., completed in December 2020 to address constraints in western Canada's grain transport infrastructure. The terminal features 73,000 metric tonnes of above-ground steel bin storage, 20,000 metric tonnes of flat storage, a semi-loop rail system capable of handling over 300 railcars, and a three-tower retractable ship loader supporting up to 80 bulk vessels annually, with a fully enclosed rail unloading station with dust suppression.
