Project Overview

FWS partnered with Cargill Limited to design and construct a greenfield, state-of-the-art Fertilizer Storage and Distribution Facility in McLennan, Alberta, delivering high-capacity infrastructure to support bulk granular fertilizer handling, blending, and distribution. The facility provides storage for 13,405 metric tonnes of fertilizer and integrates efficient blending and distribution systems, a dedicated 50-foot by 120-foot chemical storage warehouse built for safe and compliant operations, and a rail receiving and loadout system capable of accommodating up to 110 railcars to streamline logistics and reduce transit times. Through the integration of robust infrastructure and advanced handling systems, the project enhanced storage capacity, improved supply chain efficiency, strengthened safety and regulatory compliance, and optimized fertilizer blending and distribution, supporting the growing demands of the agricultural sector and regional sustainability.
